Purchasing Using School Purchase Orders

School and district purchasing

Purchase orders made simple

Whether you need a few Bright Futures Counseling resources or annual IMPACT access for one or more counselors, we will help you give your school the information it needs to approve the purchase.

Buying individual resources?

Purchase individual lessons, games, bundles, and other digital resources through the Bright Futures Counseling cart. Each resource license covers one counselor. If two counselors need the same resource, add a quantity of 2.

Add each resource and set the quantity to the number of counselors who will use it.
Open the cart and choose Generate Quote instead of Checkout.
Enter your own email so you receive a copy, then forward the quote for approval.

Buying IMPACT access?

Schools and districts can purchase annual IMPACT licenses. Each license covers one counselor at a time, so two counselors need two licenses. The licenses belong to the purchasing organization and can be reassigned when staffing changes.

Use the school pricing and estimate builder for one or more counselors.
Download or print the estimate for your administrator or purchasing office.
Request vendor paperwork or help completing your order.

How a shop purchase order works

The quote gives your school the product and pricing details it needs. Your school or district creates the official purchase order.

Choose your resources

Add the correct products to your cart and set the quantity to the number of counselors who will use each resource. For example, if two counselors need the same activity, add a quantity of 2.

Generate your quote

Open the cart and choose Generate Quote instead of Checkout. Enter your own email so you receive a copy for your records and can forward it for approval.

Send it for approval

Forward the quote to the person who approves purchases at your school or district. They will create the official purchase order using their required process.

Complete the order

After approval, open the quote email, click Checkout, and choose Purchase Order – Check or Credit Card. If your school sends a formal purchase order separately or requires an invoice, email it with the quote and billing contact.

Purchase-order FAQs

Answers to the questions schools ask most often.

Is the generated quote the official purchase order?

No. The quote provides pricing and product details. Your school or district creates the official purchase order through its own purchasing system.

Can we pay without a purchase order?

Yes. Schools can usually pay by credit card or check. For ACH, PayPal, an invoice, or another required payment process, email us before completing the order.

What if our school is tax exempt?

Email your tax-exemption document, school or district name, and quote information before payment so we can review the order and help with the correct next step.

When will we receive the digital resources?

Digital resources are released after payment or an approved purchase order is processed. Most complete approved orders are handled within one business day. Vendor setup or missing information can add time.

Can more than one counselor use the same license?

No. Each individual resource license and each IMPACT license covers one counselor at a time. If two counselors need the same activity, add a quantity of 2. For IMPACT, request one annual license per counselor. School-owned IMPACT licenses can later be reassigned when staffing changes.

Who should receive the quote email?

We recommend sending it to yourself first. You will have a copy for your records and can forward it to the correct administrator or purchasing contact.
