HEY THERE, I’M RACHEL!

Counselor specializing in easy-to-implement strategies for busy school counselors.

I’m the counselor and curriculum designer behind Bright Futures Counseling, a community designed to offer counselors the support they need to feel confident serving their students well.

I didn’t always feel confident and prepared when it comes to running a school counseling program.

BUT I'M OUTGOING, SOCIAL, AND I LOVE TO HELP OTHERS.

That’s why I am so passionate about connecting with school counselors, so they don’t feel isolated on their own island.

I see so many counselors with the desire to serve as many students as possible. They have the drive to advocate for their program, yet they feel like they are trying to keep their head above water and leave work feeling discouraged.

I absolutely love…

MY FAMILY

My husband, Grant, and I have been married since 2016. We have two beautiful and wild toddler boys, Marin and Hobie! You can usually find us playing at the beach.

TRAVELING

My husband and I are avid travelers. I love getting out of my comfort zone, trying new foods, and meeting people completely different from me. I’ve been to over 40 countries, and even spent 2 years living out of a backpack and traveling around the world! I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. My toddler son has already been on an African Safari and hiked Machu Picchu!

LIVING IN COSTA RICA

I moved to Guanacaste, Costa Rica to work as the school counselor at an international school in 2019. I am so lucky to live by the ocean (I never miss a sunset!). We are a short drive away from beautiful volcanoes and waterfalls, and we see howler monkeys almost every day!
