Get to Know You Bingo School Counseling Game

This free get to know you bingo game helps students learn about their classmates at the start of the school year, in a new counseling group or any time a class needs an icebreaker. Students move around the room to find classmates who match each square, which encourages conversation and new connections.
Each square describes an interest, family detail or experience, such as loving math, having a cat or being new to the school. The printable is designed for students in grades 2-5 and requires no prep beyond making copies.
Students will learn how to:
⭐ Start a friendly conversation with a classmate they do not know well
⭐ Ask a simple question and listen to the answer
⭐ Recognize things they have in common with their peers
⭐ Appreciate the ways classmates are different
⭐ Feel more connected in a new class or small group
This resource includes:
✔ One printable get to know you bingo card with a 4 by 4 grid of 16 squares
✔ Prompts about pets, siblings, favorite foods, school subjects, soccer, travel and college plans
✔ A square for students who are new to the school, which gives classmates a natural reason to welcome them
How it works:
Print and distribute
Print one card per student. No cutting, sorting or laminating is required.
Find a match
Students circulate to find a classmate who fits a square, such as someone who plays soccer or has visited five other states. That classmate initials the square.
Complete a row
The first player to complete a row of four squares, each initialed by a classmate, wins the round.
